Between heat waves, I decided it was time to get my haircut. This happens most Septembers when the homicidal temperatures settle over the San Diego area. I planned the cut all week without telling Adam. In fact, I didn’t show the faintest clue — not so much as a cracked smile or anything. I think [...]

It’s not fair. It’s just not fair, I tell you. My brother has unending gifts of horticulture, his sanctuary at the end of a day spent welding industrial machines and shooting animals. I teach children, and I kill succulents on occasion. Something is missing in this equation.
Cucumbers
This tomato was one of a half dozen that [...]

The first week of Indy vacay was spent resting, while the second has been spent with friends. I got to see Suzin 3 times, and the likes of Anthony, Melissa Jo, a certain Baker friend, and other IWU friends. Pictures of adventures will be processed & produced this weekend.

The babies keep coming. I have two more (fingers crossed) this week! Your favorite people & mine–Sam & Christin Hart–came over to celebrate the 4th at our casa. We grabbed the last bit of sunshine in our yard for pictures of the girls.
I’ve been doing Caydance’s photo each year, so I suppose it’s a tradition [...]

Little Boy officially rolled over on his own today. I had left him talking & playing on his blanket in the living room. When I came back a moment later, he was on his tummy reaching for a toy.
It’s all over now.

I had the privilege of dropping by a teacher friend’s home to meet her precious 8 week old son. In addition to their home being extremely tasteful, I was absolutely gaga for their sliding glass door. Why? I was able to shoot without a flash and get super crisp photos! Natural light, you’re my best [...]
