Reanna & I teamed up to do some product shots for a friend of a friend. She makes her own jewelry and sells it on Etsy, which is awesome. We love Etsy. The epic adventure began when we decided to head west from Jamul to avoid the nasty cloudage, so we found ourselves at Lake Murray. Well, we got about 10 minutes of golden sun until the marine layer decided to roll in and turn the sky dark. Awesome. So consequently, I spent the good part of this afternoon shooting in my driveway and editing. Here are some favorites of the necklace collection (earrings, pendants, bracelets to come):

That’s some pretty jewelry! Beautiful pictures! I like the shallow depth of field. Did you use aperture priority?
PS. I was in Costco today and saw a toddler wearing a monkey backpack/leash.

Anna, yes I mostly stuck to AP to make the process go as quickly as possible. I even needed an assistant (it was Brian)! It’s taken two days so far to get all of the necklaces done. Ugh. Big job.
It’s very fun jewelry, though I feel SO DUMB because some of the pieces are very complicated to figure out. I seriously guessed on a couple of grouped chains. Still going to take a couple of days to get as much done as I can. I’ll have to pass the rest off to Reanna. Look for her on Etsy next month!
